Hoodland Fire District annual "Open House" will be on October 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Station tours will be given throughout the day. Children and adults can ride in a fire truck. There will be photos with Smokey the Bear and Sparky. Learn what to do when you wake to the sound of a a smoke detoctor in our fire prevention trailer. Meet our community H.E.A.R.T. team and learn how you can become a volunteer firefighter. There will also be emergency medical service demonstrations, blood pressure and heart monitor checks.
Fire Chief Mic Eby has announced three in-station promotions: Linn Norgard, has been promoted from Captain to Battalion Chief, Ron Schmitt has been promoted from Lieutenant to Captain and and Josh Baker has been promoted from Sr. Firefighter to Lieutenant.
Congratulations on these well deserved and hard earned promotions.

In recognition of national EMS week, Hoodland Fire District will be holding our annual "EMERGENCY!" EMS demonstrations and tours at the Hoodland Thriftway parking lot from 10am-3pm.
This years events will include Hoodland Fire, A.M.R. Ambulance and Lifelight tours, a bicycle safety check and rodeo, Bicycle helmet giveaways, blood pressure check and a child safety seat inspection.

Firefighters from three local fire districts joined more than 1,300 of their colleagues from 200 departments across the Pacific Northwest and around the nation for the 17th annual Scott Firefighter Stairclimb at the Columbia Center in downtown Seattle on Sunday, March 2.
